Alan Blake Maloney, “Big Al,” passed on August 22, 2026, in Fresno, California, at the age of 67.

Born on September 22, 1958, Alan built a life marked by dedication to his work, his music, and the people around him. He attended Avenal High School and went on to a long career with PG&E, retiring on February 26 after 47 years in the gas department as the "GAS GOD". Alan also sold real-estate for Century 21 in the mid 2000's. Alongside his working life, he also played music professionally throughout the Central Valley for more than 40 years with his bandmates/best friends in The Future, 24K, and Krossover.

Alan was a beloved father, brother, grandpa, great grandpa, and friend. He was known for lighting up a room with his infectious smile and big personality. Those who knew him will remember the ease with which he could tell a story, deliver a joke, and make people laugh. His gift of gab, thoughtful nature, generosity, musical creativity, and keen intelligence left a lasting impression on many.

He found enjoyment in playing guitar and camping trips to Pismo in his Brinkley RV with his family.
