Marilyn Ochoa Smith, the wife of Ronald Smith, residents of Pine Ridge/ Peterson Road, passed away July 4th 2026. She is survived by her sister, Ellen Wolverton, brother Art Ochoa, of Burrough Valley, as well as her two daughters, Toni Smith and Kim E. Smith.  Her daughters were by her side as she passed.

Marilyn was a record clerk for the LAPD in the late 1960's where she met her husband, Ron of 57 years. Marilyn was devoted to her family attended church, Iglesia Baptista Del Valle, In Pacoima, CA a suburb of Los Angles in the San Fernando Valley, for many years. She devoted her life to the youth group in her church and beyond. She made a huge impact on many teenagers over her lifetime. Marilyn and her family enjoyed spending their summers in Dinkey Creek beginning in 1968. Eventually making the move to Peterson Road. 32 years ago, after Ron retired. Known by many to be a very kind and loving woman, Marilyn Smith, will forever be remembered with loving memories and forever live in the hearts of many currently living in this beautiful mountain community. Rest in Peace, Marilyn "Mama" Smith. You have made a difference in the heart and soul of many. Our love for you is eternal.
