Morris Leroy Rush Jr.

February 6, 1943 – July 4, 2026

Morris Leroy Rush Jr. passed away peacefully at his home on July 4, 2026, at the age of 83.
Born on February 6, 1943, Morris was a proud resident of Coarsegold, California for 46 years. Known to many simply as "Morrie he was a man of immense work ethic, skill, and dedication. He owned and operated Morries Muffler (also known as Morries Welding and Repair) in Fresno, where he became a trusted fixture in the community, respected by everyone for his honest craftsmanship and reliable hands.

But at his core, Morris was a cowboy at heart. Rarely seen without his favorite western snap-shirts, his happiest weekends were spent out in the open, working the land and tending to cattle—whether helping out dear friends or caring for his own. His love for the cowboy lifestyle and the simplicity of hard, honest work defined his spirit just as much as his time at the shop.

Beyond his business and his passions, Morris's ultimate pride was his family. He was the devoted father of four daughters: Sherry Rush, Tracy Rush, Shannon Rush, and Shawna Rush. His legacy of strength, hard work, and love continues to shine through them.  Along with his four daughters he has 9 grandchildren Brandon Rush, Kimberly Rush, Kolby Haynes, Scott Johnson, Aaron Wallace, Kacie Cabral, Kinsley Gonzalez, Johnathan and Emily Bush, as well as 13 great great-grandchildren. Joshua, Quintin, Myleigh, Khloe, and Johnathan Rush, Aiden and Titus Johnson, Paisley Beau, Tucker, Wallace, Coltlynn and Ziada Murphy.

Morris will be deeply missed but fondly remembered whenever the dust settles on a ranch or a job is done right. His family takes comfort in knowing he is at peace after a life fully and beautifully lived.
